The artist created the concept of \u2018Korea fantasy\u2019, inspired by Korea\u2019s ancient relics and the abstractness of Buncheong ware. Taking a motif from ancient relics, the clay was piled up and reconstructed in an irregular form, and the image of \u2018water\u2019 is one of the four elements of fire, earth, water, and wind in the ceramic. is expressed through the abstractness of Buncheong ware, expressing new contemporary ceramics.<\/p>

The Artist created the concept of \u2018Korea fantasy\u2019, inspired by Korea\u2019s ancient relics and the abstractness of Buncheong Ware (Joseon Dynasty).  W\u2022O\u2022O stands for (Wall Ornament Object) and is a limited edition ceramic relief series.  The image obtained from Korea’s ancient relics is used in the most primitive way to create a thin ceramic plate by scraping away the soil by hand and creating it in the form of a relief.<\/p>\n

The process of expressing the texture and original depth that soil can create by abstractly covering the surface of the soil with various colored crematories, engraving decorations that reinterpret ancient patterns on the surface of the decorated soil, and inlaying them with glaze. It’s rough. Finally, through three to four kiln firings to coat the piece with silver and gold, the artist’s unique aesthetic sense creates the decorative primitiveness and fantasy that rises from the clay.<\/p>\n

The decorative meaning of the circular shape is expressed through the abstractness of Buncheong pottery, expressing the image of \u2018water\u2019 among the four elements of fire, earth, water, and wind in pottery.<\/p>
